The LiveU LU600 is €350 per day added to a camera operator or a full crew, or on its own in the Netherlands. What's the difference between a LiveU rental and a LiveU ENG package?
A rental is hardware only: you bring your own crew, and we offer it in the Netherlands only. An ENG package includes the LU600, an experienced operator, full audio kit with IFB, and a transmission technician. Everything is pre-configured and tested, so you go live within minutes of arrival.
How does LiveU LU600 bonding work?
Patented cellular bonding combines 6 modems (5G/4G), WiFi and Ethernet into one connection. If one network drops, the others keep you live, even where coverage on a single network is weak.
How does this connect to our LiveU Matrix server?
We pre-configure the LU600 to transmit directly into your Matrix channel. If you use SRT, RTMP or NDI instead, we route the feed there, and it appears on your existing infrastructure.
Does it work in remote locations?
Yes. We've delivered live feeds from rural areas, moving vehicles, basement press rooms and outdoor locations with no fixed connectivity.
How much latency should I expect?
Sub-second glass-to-glass (0.5–1.5s), depending on the network and destination. That is far lower than satellite and low enough for live interviews and breaking news.
Is a recording made alongside the live feed?
We record locally on the Sony cameras while streaming, so you have a clean copy for post even if the network weakens.
