7 Key Benefits of LiveU Over Satellite Broadcasting
April 7, 2024What does an ENG crew cost?
ENG crew pricing comes down to a handful of factors — crew size, equipment, travel and turnaround. Here's what drives the price, and how CamJo24 keeps it to one all-in invoice with no hidden extras.

What goes into an ENG crew quote?
Four things move the price: how long you need the crew, how many people, what equipment, and where the shoot is. Here's how each one works.
One price — no surprises.
CamJo24 quotes the crew, the equipment, LiveU transmission and travel as a single all-in figure. No separate rental lines and no overtime ambushes — you know the number before the shoot starts.
Day rate vs half-day
Most ENG work is quoted as a full day (8–10 hours) or a half day (4–5). Overtime beyond that is pro-rata, so a full day is usually the safer budget.
Crew size
A one-person crew (operator covering audio) is the most economical; a two-person crew adds a dedicated sound recordist for cleaner audio. Bigger productions add crew.
Equipment & LiveU
Standard broadcast kit is included. Live transmission with a LiveU LU600, specialist lenses, drone work or heavy lighting are added as clear line items.
Travel & turnaround
Local shoots carry no travel cost; multi-city or international work adds travel and accommodation. Same-day delivery is a premium; standard delivery is included.

We scope crew & kit
We match the right crew size and equipment to the job — no over-spec, nothing you don't need.
One all-in quote
You get a single price covering crew, gear, LiveU transmission and travel — agreed before the shoot.
Shoot & deliver
Filming goes ahead and footage is delivered raw, edited or live. One invoice, exactly as quoted.
Why one all-in price wins.
Per-item quotes look cheaper on paper, then grow on the day — a rental line here, a travel surcharge there, overtime when the shoot runs long. CamJo24 quotes the whole job up front instead: the crew, the broadcast camera and lenses, professional audio and lighting, LiveU transmission and travel, all in one figure you agree before anyone arrives.
That makes an ENG crew easy to budget — you spec the shoot once, get one number, and the only things that change it are things you ask for, like extra crew, a drone or a same-day edit. Questions, answered.
How much does an ENG crew cost?
It depends on crew size, hours, equipment and travel, so most crews quote a day or half-day rate. CamJo24 gives you one all-in price covering the crew, kit, LiveU and travel before the shoot — request a quote for an exact figure for your job.
What's included in an ENG crew day rate?
The crew, a broadcast camera and lenses, professional audio, basic lighting, tripod and supports, and standard footage delivery. LiveU transmission, drone work, heavy lighting and same-day edits are added as clear line items.
What's the difference between a half-day and full-day rate?
A half day is roughly 4–5 hours and a full day 8–10. Overtime beyond the booked window is charged pro-rata, so if a shoot might run long, a full day is usually the safer budget.
Does live broadcasting cost more?
Yes — adding a LiveU LU600 for live transmission is a separate line on top of the crew day rate, because it's specialist hardware plus bonded mobile bandwidth. It's quoted clearly up front.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. CamJo24 quotes one all-in price covering crew, equipment, transmission and travel. Anything optional — extra crew, a drone, a same-day edit — is agreed before the shoot, never sprung on the invoice.
Does travel cost extra?
Shoots around The Hague carry no travel cost. Multi-city or international work adds travel time, transport and accommodation, all quoted up front.
